Malaysia U-19 coach Rakphol Sainetngam praised the greatness
U-19 Indonesian National Futsal Team
after they lost to Garuda Muda in the 2025 AFF Futsal U-19 Cup.
Malaysia lost 0-1 to Indonesia in the second Group B match in Nontabhuri, Thailand, Thursday (25/12) afternoon WIB.
The defeat to Indonesia means Malaysia remains in second place in Group B with one point from the two matches played.

Before losing 0-1 to Indonesia, Malaysia first drew 3-3 against Myanmar in the first match.However, Malaysia still qualified for the semifinals because they were superior on goal difference to Myanmar, who also had one point from two matches.
On the other hand, this victory enabled Indonesia to gain an additional three points and successfully strengthen its position at the top of Group B with six points.
Indonesia successfully swept two matches in Group B with a win.Apart from winning 1-0 over Malaysia, Indonesia first slaughtered Myanmar 4-1 in the first match.
Indonesia is also certain to qualify for the semifinals of the 2025 AFF U-19 Futsal Cup with the status as winner of Group B. Malaysia U-19 coach Rakphol Sainetngam said qualifying for the semifinals was a success.
“Yes, first of all I apologize for my voice because I expended a lot of energy today (shouting during the match). I have to give appreciation to the children. We came here to gain experience, but we were able to advance to the semifinals, that is already a success,” said Rakphol Sainetngam after the match.
Rakphol Sainetngam also thanked his players who played their best in this match.Rakhpol also admitted that Indonesia was a great team.
“I thank the children who have played wholeheartedly. We admit that Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam have a better foundation of young players than us. However, our children were able to perform very well in this tournament. Even though our training time was quite short so the game was sometimes a bit slow, I still praise them for being able to reach the semifinals,” said Rakphol.
