Assistance from former Indonesian national team coach,
Shin Tae Yong
, for Sumatran flood victims went viral on social media.
The major disaster that hit three regions in Sumatra: Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra since November knocked the day off for members of the Indonesian National Team.
A number of players such as Calvin Verdonk, goalkeeper Maarten Paes and defender Dean James also provided assistance to the Sumatran flood victims.

STY’s assistance received respect from netizens.Those who commented on the video expressed their appreciation to STY.
“The best coach the Indonesian National Team has ever had. Thank you Coach Shin,” said one netizen.
“Coach, you are the best coach,” another netizen chimed in.
“MasyaAllah. Even though he is not Indonesian, he has a sincere heart for the Indonesian people. Coach Shin Tae Yong. Thank you.”
