VIDEO: Head of ESDM Service Suspected on Allegations of Mining Corruption

On Thursday evening, prosecutor’s investigators named the Head of the Central Kalimantan ESDM Service with the initials VC as a suspect in the alleged zircon sand mining corruption.Losses due to corruption in cases that took place in the period 2020 to 2025 are estimated at IDR 1.3 trillion.
Apart from Central Kalimantan government officials, investigators also named the Director of PT Investasi Mandiri with the initials HS as a suspect.
VC and HS are suspected of committing corruption through cooperation in the licensing process, starting from the RKAB to the issuance of technical mining IUP OP submitted by the company.For the purposes of further investigation, both of them will be detained for the next 20 days.
