“87 people reported to us what happened in various places,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the North Jakarta Metro Police, Police Commissioner Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar when contacted, Monday (8/12).
Onkoseno also said that the loss reported by the victim reached hundreds of millions of rupiah, while the perpetrator was suspected of committing fraud under the guise of a wedding package.

“Up to hundreds (millions), in total. He offered a wedding package, but in reality it didn’t meet those conditions,” he added.
Around 200 people came to the house of the owner of WO Ayu Puspita which is located in Kayu Putih Village, East Jakarta to demand accountability.
“Around 200 people who were victims gathered at the residence of the alleged perpetrator. The situation heated up because the crowd demanded accountability from the wedding organizer,” said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Alfian Nurrizal to reporters, Monday (8/12).
The situation became heated so Alfian said that his party immediately went to the location to secure the situation.After that, the perpetrator was immediately taken to the North Jakarta Metro Police.
“This effort was carried out to calm the emotions of the masses and prevent anarchic acts from occurring. After the situation was brought under control, the alleged perpetrator was arrested and then taken to hand over the handling to the North Jakarta Metro Police according to the case report,” added Alfian.
Previously, the police had arrested the owner of WO Ayu Puspita on suspicion of fraud along with four other reported persons for questioning.Onkoseno said the five people still had the status of witnesses.
“We have received reports from the WO victims. As of last night, we are now examining five people from the WO,” Onkoseno told reporters, Monday.
