Venezuelan Defense Minister Padrino Lopez said hundreds of troops were being deployed for military exercises to prepare to counter “threats” from Washington.

Venezuela and the United States have been at odds for some time.The friction between the two countries occurred after Trump ordered an anti-narcotics operation targeting ships passing through the Caribbean region.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro strongly opposed this action because it killed many people.Maduro also denied his country was involved in drug trafficking as Trump has accused.
Maduro finally ordered the military to hold training exercises and deployed soldiers, police and militia to guard mountain areas, beaches, schools and hospitals.
He also stated that he was ready to declare a state of emergency if the US launched a military attack on his country.
The deployment of hundreds of soldiers on Tuesday (11/11) was carried out at the same time as the draft law (RUU) was passed by the Venezuelan parliament.The National Assembly passed a policy establishing a “new way of handling deployment” of the military.
