Since September, the US has fueled tensions with Venezuela, ranging from shooting at ships to causing civilian deaths.
The US accused the ship of carrying drugs even though the ship contained civilians.Apart from that, the attack was also carried out without going through a court process so it was considered a violation of international law.
Venezuela is furious with the US.However, Washington continued to carry out these actions.They even deployed troops and weapons near the Venezuelan border.

Venezuela also has support from Russia.In an official statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry is closely monitoring tensions between Trump and Maduro.
“Hopefully the Trump administration, known for pursuing rational and practical policies, will stop before making fatal mistakes and refrain from escalating tensions in a direction that could lead to unpredictable consequences for the entire Western Hemisphere,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement last week.
