Gatot said that the smuggling that was thwarted was also one of the keys in the process of arresting international narcotics kingpin Dewi Astutik.

“And of course this is a form of collaboration and coordination that we continue to build, so that handling related to drug smuggling at Soekarno-Hatta Airport can be handled well. We really support collaboration with BNN,” explained Gatot.
Narcotics kingpin Dewi Astutik was arrested in Sihanoukville, Cambodia.The international fugitive was a recruiter for the Asia-Africa narcotics trafficking network.
“Dewi is a recruit from the Asia-Africa narcotics trafficking network and is also a DPO (wanted list) from South Korea,” said Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), Komjen Suyudi Ario Seto at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Tuesday.
Suyudi said that the main actor smuggling two tons of methamphetamine worth IDR 5 trillion was arrested while he was with a man in the hotel lobby area in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, Monday (1/12).
“The suspect was arrested in a white Toyota Prius after leaving a hotel in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. At that time the target was arrested while he was with a man,” explained Suyudi.
Previously, Soekarno-Hatta Customs and Excise foiled the smuggling of heroin-type narcotics at Terminal 3 of International Arrivals at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on the Singapore-Jakarta route.From this action, three perpetrators with the initials ZM, SS and AH were arrested along with evidence in the form of 2,760 grams of heroin.
The disclosure began when Customs and Excise became suspicious of a black luggage suitcase owned by an Indonesian citizen (WNI) with the initials ZM (46) who came from Singapore.Officers discovered an anomaly in the back wall compartment of the black suitcase carried by the passenger.
From the results of the examination, it was found that a plastic packet containing white powder which was suspected to be narcotics weighing 2,760 grams was hidden in the back wall of the suitcase (
false compartment
).
The white powder was examined using a narcotest and a positive result was found for class I narcotics, type heroin.It turned out that the heroin would be given to another perpetrator with the initials SS (49) who was waiting in the arrival lobby of Terminal 3.
During the development, the SS perpetrator who played the role of picking up the courier admitted that he was ordered by AH (33) to pick up and bring the heroin from someone in Cambodia with the initials DA (Dewi Astutik).
