“In his statement to KPK investigators, Mr. Nadiem explained that the use of Google Cloud was within the realm of operational implementers at the Ministry of Education and Culture, in this case the Center for Data and Information Technology (Pusdatin), so there was no involvement of Mr. Nadiem as Minister of Education and Research and Technology at that time,” said Dodi in Jakarta, Saturday (22/11) as quoted by Antara.
Dodi also said that to date, Nadiem has not received any further news regarding the follow-up to the KPK’s investigation into this case.

“Of course he can understand if the Corruption Eradication Commission does not continue with this Google Cloud matter because there was no unlawful act committed by him because the decision to use Google Cloud was made at the operational level, not at the ministerial level,” he said.
Nadiem, he said, hopes to receive fair legal treatment.
“Pak Nadiem hopes that equality and objectivity will be implemented by the Corruption Eradication Commission in this matter to ensure that justice is carried out straight,” he said.
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) revealed that former Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim was one of the potential suspects in the alleged corruption case related to the procurement of Google Cloud at the Ministry of Education and Culture.
An investigation into this alleged corruption case was carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) before it was decided to hand over the handling of the case to the Attorney General’s Office.
“Yes, that’s the same NM,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK’s Red and White Building, Jakarta, Thursday (20/11).
Asep conveyed this to further explain the statement by Corruption Eradication Commission Chairman Setyo Budiyanto on November 18 2025, namely that the potential suspect in the Google Cloud case was the same as the suspect in the alleged corruption case in the education digitalization program at the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2019-2022 regarding the procurement of Chromebooks handled by the Attorney General’s Office.
He further said that another name that was used as a potential Google Cloud suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission was former Special Staff Nadiem Makarim, namely Jurist Tan (JT).
However, he said there were potential suspects who were different from the case being handled by the AGO.”So, there are differences, but overall it’s the same,” he said.
