Three Injourney Airports Open Aid Posts for Sumatran Flood Victims

) opened an aid post for victims

in Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and West Sumatra (Sumbar).
The three airports that have opened aid posts are Minangkabau Padang Airport in West Sumatra, Aceh’s Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport and Kualanamu Deli Serdang Airport in North Sumatra.
InJourney Airports Main Director Mohammad R Pahlevi expressed his deep condolences to all the victims, including the wider community affected by the disaster in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.

“Of course, as airport managers, we have prepared three airports to ensure the smooth distribution of aid to disaster locations,” said Mohammad in an official statement, Saturday (29/11).
The aid post at Minangkabau Airport was appointed as the PIC of the Padang Pariaman BUMN Task Force.The post was opened yesterday, Friday (28/11), located near the entrance to Minangkabau Airport.
“The post is tasked with accommodating aid for disaster victims in West Sumatra which is sent via air transportation by BUMN from various regions in Indonesia. From each post, logistical aid is then distributed to the disaster location through coordination with various parties including BUMN,” explained Mohammad.
The command post at the airport is also to ensure that aid sent by BUMN via plane can be handled in a centralized, optimal and fast manner.
The assistance from InJourney Airports that has been distributed through this post is food and logistics, sanitation and hygiene, as well as medicine and health to various areas in West Sumatra, including Galapuang Village and Sungai Buluh.
Meanwhile, Kualanamu Airport and Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport opened aid posts to support disaster victims in North Sumatra starting this Saturday.
Through these two airports, InJourney Airports has distributed food and logistics assistance, sanitation and hygiene, as well as medicine and health.
The aid that has been distributed by InJourney Airports in North Sumatra has reached residents in Sibalanga Village, Adiankoting and North Tapanuli Regency.
In addition to distributing aid, the company also sent volunteers directly to disaster locations in Aceh, West Sumatra and North Sumatra.
“The InJourney Airports Volunteer Team, namely Gurila, went directly to the disaster location to be ready to provide the various support needed. This team consists of InJourney Airports employees who have the ability to handle disasters,” said Mohammad.
Furthermore, Mohammad ensured that Aceh’s Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, Deli Serdang’s Kuanamu Airport and Padang’s Minangkabau Airport would continue to operate normally serving various flights including flights related to disaster relief.
