A tree on Jalan Pahlawan, Rempoa Village, East Ciputat, South Tangerang City (Tangsel) suddenly fell, Saturday (15/11).Even though the weather was sunny, there was no wind or rain.
A tree fell on a passing car.Luckily there were no victims in this incident.
East Ciputat Police Chief, Commissioner Bambang Askar Sodiq said the vehicle was driven by a mother with her child in the car.

“The tree that fell on a car happened at around 10.20 WIB. Thank God, the mother and child driving the car are safe,” said Askar.
Askar said the tree suddenly fell because it was old and rotten.
“The tree fell because it was old so the trunk was rotten,” he said.

Motorists who want to cross Jalan Pahlawan Rempoa are advised to look for alternative routes until the evacuation process is declared complete.
“We are temporarily diverting traffic,” said Askar.
Broken branches or fallen trees are a problem in the Jakarta area and its surroundings, especially during the rainy season.There have been several cases of deaths due to vehicles being hit by fallen trees.
As happened some time ago in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, Sunday (26/10. The palm tree collapsed when heavy rain poured down.
The victim, who was passing by at the time, died on the spot because his vehicle was crushed by the tree.
