First hearing of divorce suit filed

, was officially held today at the Bandung Religious Court, Wednesday (17/12).The first hearing was scheduled with an initial mediation agenda.
Atalia’s attorney, Debi Agusfriansa, said that all preparations for the trial had been carried out since last week, including filing the case via the e-court system.
“We have of course been preparing for today’s trial since last week. Today is the first trial,” Debi told reporters.

At the initial trial, Atalia was not present in person and was represented by her legal team.Debi explained that her client’s absence was due to an official agenda.
“Basically, Mrs. Atalia really respects the trial process. However, due to official activities, she was unable to attend and give us power of attorney,” he said.
When asked whether there were certain demands in the lawsuit, Debi said Atalia’s message was quite simple.
“If it’s your own demands, the message from Mrs. Atalia is to just pray for each other. Hopefully there will be the best for you and your father,” said Debi.
Responding to an issue that had previously been widely discussed by the public and linked to other parties, Debi said that this had been included in the lawsuit material.
“If it is related to this issue, it has already been included in the material of the lawsuit. Of course we cannot convey it in more depth because it is already related to the material of the lawsuit,” he said.
Regarding the presence of the defendant, Debi admitted that he had not received definite information.However, he said that the person concerned already had legal representation.
“As for Mr. RK, we don’t know his presence today. But if I’m not mistaken, he already has a legal representative,” said Debi, referring to Ridwan Kamil.
Meanwhile, regarding the possibility of demands for the division of joint or shared assets, Debi stated that this has not yet become the main focus in the current trial.
“We’re still far away from the assets we have together. We’ll focus first on the divorce lawsuit. When it’s finished, we’ll think about it further,” he said.
Debi also ensured that the divorce suit had been discussed with the family before being submitted to court.
“Of course this has been discussed with the family,” he said.
Regarding income and other legal consequences, Debi said that his party would still follow the process and results of the ongoing trial.
“Regarding income and other matters, the results of this trial will follow,” he concluded.
