The supporter group for Thailand’s national football and futsal team, Ultras Thailand, announced that it would boycott
SEA Games 2025
.
This was announced by Ultras Thailand on Monday (1/12).They will not support the White Elephant football and futsal teams during the SEA Games because of three factors.
First, football and futsal fans can attend for free.However, they must register personal identification.This cannot be accepted by the ultras group.

According to Ultras Thailand, the 2025 SEA Games authorities have no right to supporters’ personal information.Moreover, this rule only applies to supporters and not VIP spectators.
“This is not a matter of security, but of injustice imposed on us. Moreover, Cambodia has withdrawn from football,” Ultras wrote in a release reported by

Second, Ultras feel that the 2025 SEA Games committee policy is arbitrary.The reason is that the Ultras group is prohibited from being behind the goal.On the other hand, opposing fans have the right to be behind the goal.
Third, Ultras will continue to support the players and coaches of the football and futsal teams, but will not enter the stands.This decision will change if there is a policy change.
“In the same spirit, we are firm in our stance that we will not attend the football and futsal stadiums at the SEA Games held in Bangkok,” Ultras wrote.
