Police said 17 victims died in the incident

, Central Jakarta (Jakpus) no one suffered burns.
“In general, the victim we saw was not in a burnt condition, possibly limp,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro to reporters, Tuesday (9/12).
Police are still investigating the cause of death and will investigate further.Currently, the bodies of 17 victims have been taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.

Currently, firefighters (Damkar) are still searching the building area to look for other possible victims.
“We are still trying to enter floor by floor, because (the smoke) is quite thick at the top,” he said.
A fire broke out at the Terra Drone Building located in Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta (Jakpus) on Tuesday (9/12) afternoon.The fire is thought to have started from a battery on the 1st floor of the building.
“At around 12.30 there was a battery on the 1st floor, that was the one that caught fire. Then it was extinguished by employees, then it turned out that the burning battery spread because on the 1st floor this is one of the warehouses,” Susatyo told reporters.
At the time of the incident, employees were on their lunch break.Some employees were said to be outside, while others went up to floors two to six to rest.
“Then when it caught fire, the fire got bigger, then the smoke rose to the sixth floor,” said Susatyo.
