The following is a synopsis of Taken.
Bryan Mills is divorced from his wife, Lenore.Meanwhile, custody of their daughter, Kim, falls into Lenore’s hands.Under these conditions, Bryan tried to build a closer relationship with Kim.One of them, allowing Kim to go to Paris with her best friend, Amanda.
Bryan had refused because he was worried.However, he finally agreed with several conditions.One of them is having to give news by telephone at certain times.
While at the airport, Bryan realized Kim was lying.Kim and Amanda apparently went to follow U2 during their European tour.
Upon arrival in Paris, Kim and Amanda share a taxi with a strange man named Peter.However, it turned out that Peter was only pretending to be a taxi passenger in order to find out where Kim was staying.

The film Taken was directed by Pierre Morel, the director who worked on District 13 (2004) and From Paris with Love (2010).Meanwhile, the film script was written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen.
Taken was released in France on February 27, 2008. The film received mixed reviews from critics, and was a financial success grossing US$226 million on a US$25 million budget.
Apart from Liam Neeson, the film Taken also stars Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen, Katie Cassidy, Leland Orser, Jon Gries, and David Warshofsky.
