Janur Ireng: Sewu Dino The Prequel
.
Even though it is a prequel, this story is still based on the SimpleMan story which is also part of the Sewu Dino saga, namely Sewu Dino, Ranjat Kembang, and Janur Ireng.The setting in the film version of Janur Ireng itself takes place six years before Sewu Dino.

The following is a synopsis of Janur Ireng: Sewu Dino The Prequel.
After the death of their father, Kondoto Kuncoro, Sabdo and Intan only had each other.In 1997, they lived together in a shack.Sabdo works odd jobs, while Intan is forced to drop out of school.
One time, Sabdo felt there was something strange in his house.He then received terror in the form of a black sheep’s head.Sabdo, who felt threatened, then found out who was behind it all.
While looking for information, the house suddenly caught fire while Intan was still inside.Luckily, Intan survived.However, their house and all their possessions were completely destroyed.
Amidst the confusion, a middle-aged man came to them.He introduced himself as Arjo Kuncoro, who is Kondoto’s older brother.In other words, Arjo is Sabdo and Intan’s uncle.
Arjo admitted that he and Kondoto had not seen each other for a long time.However, when he wanted to meet his younger brother, it turned out that he only found out that Kondoto had died several months earlier.
Finding his two nephews without shelter, Arjo offered to take Sabdo and Intan to the Kuncoro family’s house.Arjo said, there were many rooms in the house that they could use.
When they arrived at the magnificent house, Sabdo and Intan had no idea that their father came from a rich family.Even though they were alive, they never heard about the origins of their father’s family.

There, Sabdo and Intan met Lasmini who was Arjo and Kondoto’s younger sister.That way, Lasmini is Sabdo and Intan’s villager.
Intan had actually felt that there was something strange about the house since the first night.However, Sabdo tried to calm his younger brother, considering that they also didn’t have a house at all.
However, Irene’s hunch came true.One by one, Sabdo discovered various oddities in the house.Not only that, he also discovers his family’s secret which will change his and Intan’s life.
Janur Ireng: Sewu Dino The Prequel is still being worked on by Kimo Stamboel who is also working on Sewu Dino in 2023. However, this time, Kimo is also sitting as a writer with Khalid Khasogi who is returning to type the script.
As a prequel, Janur Ireng will promise a number of stories that underlie the events in Sewu Dino, especially relating to Sabdo Kuncoro which Marthino Lio has performed since the fight in Sewu Dino.
However, it’s not only Marthino Lio who returns to the Sewu Dino universe, there are also Rio Dewanto who returns as Sugik, Karina Suwandi as Karsa Atmodjo, Gisella Firmansyah as Della Atmodjo, and Givina Lukita as Erna.
Meanwhile, the new players in Janur Ireng are Tora Sudiro as Arjo Kuncoro, Nyimas Ratu Rafa as Intan, Masayu Anastasia as Lasmini, and Faradina Mufti as Gayatri.
Janur Ireng: Sewu Dino The Prequel received the D17+ category for viewers aged 17 years and over because there are a number of violence, gore and other adult scenes.This film will be shown starting December 24, 2025 in cinemas.
