The following is a synopsis of Made in Korea.
Set in the 1970s, Made in Korea follows the story of Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), a KCIA agent who lives a double life in order to achieve wealth and the throne.
Behind his official status as a civil servant, Ki-tae controls illegal smuggling operations to expand his influence in power elite circles.

Ki-tae’s big ambitions begin to be threatened when he encounters Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung), a prosecutor with sharp instincts who is known to be incorruptible.
Ki-tae’s involvement in a corruption and power scandal makes him Geon-young’s main target to uncover the truth.
Their feud has dragged in a number of important figures and threatened state security.
Made in Korea is the first series by director Woo Min-ho, who previously successfully directed the films Inside Men (2015), The Man Standing Next (2020), and Harbin (2024).
Apart from the two main actors, the drama stars top actors such as Cho Yeo-jeong, Woo Do-hwan, Jung Sung-il, Won Ji-an, and Seo Eun-su.
The drama has six episodes and has been confirmed to have season 2 which is planned for release in the second half of 2026.
Made in Korea airs December 24 on Disney+.
