The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded the death toll in the disaster
flood
and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra increased to 810 people as of Wednesday (3/12) afternoon.
Based on data displayed on the official BNPB website, the number of missing victims is 612 people in the three affected provinces.
In detail, the number of victims who died in Aceh was 272 people and 193 people were missing.Then in North Sumatra, 297 people died and 159 people disappeared.

Meanwhile, in the West Sumatra region, 236 people died and 260 other people were still declared missing.
Meanwhile, the number of injured in this disaster reached 2,600 people in the three provinces.Then, the total number of people affected by major floods in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra reached 3.2 million people.
The government has still not designated the flood and landslide disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra as national disasters, even though there have been many calls from various parties.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK), Pratikno, said that although it has not been declared a national disaster, disaster management has been carried out nationally.
Pratikno explained that all ministries/institutions had been ordered by President Prabowo to mobilize maximum resources.
“All ministries/institutions were ordered by the President, including the TNI-Polri, BNPB and all components to mobilize their resources as fully as possible to deal with the disaster in Sumatra. So once again the handling is really full force handling nationally,” said Pratikno at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Wednesday (3/12).
