Chairman of the Ponorogo Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), Dwi Agus Prayitno said he had received an official radiogram from the East Java Provincial Government on Sunday (9/11).

“For the Acting Regent of Ponorogo to be filled by the Deputy Regent, a radiogram has been sent to the DPRD and also to the person concerned, Mrs. Deputy Regent (Lisdyarita),” confirmed Dwi, Monday (10/11).
Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak said he respects the legal process carried out by the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) against Sugiri.
“Basically, we respect the processes that apply at the KPK,” said Emil, met after leading the Heroes’ Day Commemoration Ceremony at the Surabaya Heroes Monument, Monday (10/11).
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially named Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko as a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification case.
Apart from Sugiri, the anti-corruption agency also ensnared the Ponorogo Regional Secretary
Agus Pramono, Main Director of Harjono Ponorogo Hospital, Yunus Mahatma, and Sucipto as a private party and partner of Ponorogo Regional Hospital.
Sugiri is suspected of receiving bribes for the position of Director of the Harjono Ponorogo Regional General Hospital (RSUD).
Apart from bribery for managing the position of Director of the Ponorogo Regional Hospital, the Corruption Eradication Commission is also investigating two other alleged corruption cases.
The first is related to alleged bribery for a work project at Harjono Ponorogo Regional Hospital in 2024 worth IDR 14 billion.Sucipto, as the private sector partner of RSUD, provided Yunus with a project fee of 10 percent of the project value, or IDR 1.4 billion.
Yunus then handed over the money to Sugiri through Singgih as the Regent’s ADC and Ely Widodo as the Ponorogo Regent’s younger brother.
Second, the Corruption Eradication Commission also charged Sugiri on suspicion of receiving gratuities.He is suspected of receiving a total of IDR 300 million in gratuities during the period 2023 to 2025.
