to improve image and performance.
DJBC Director of Communications and Service User Guidance Nirwala Dwi Heryanto said that the launch of the new face was an effort to improve his agency.
“You could say that (improvement of Customs). So, we are changing a new face. We support it because Mr. Purbaya’s warning is a challenge and a whip for us to be better,” said Nirwala in a Media Briefing at the Head Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, East Jakarta, Wednesday (10/12).

“That’s the case with old websites which are generally a kind of propaganda, right? More than the interests of Customs and Excise, what Customs and Excise is, what year it was founded, its success,” he continued.
He emphasized that the Directorate General of Customs and Excise is now listening to the aspirations of the community.Therefore, DJBC’s new website appearance was created to be easily accessible and more informative.
The Customs and Excise website still has the same address, namely www.beacukai.go.id.They claim that the website provides a faster, lighter and more responsive digital experience for better public services.
Nirwala gave the example of a sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) feature called Tasya.The virtual assistant from the new website is able to answer questions about customs and excise, including how much you have to pay when bringing in a new cellphone from abroad.
“This can be tested and used for anything. I think because we use AI, we are actually asking for the public’s help in testing it so that we can provide input, so that the Customs and Excise website will be smarter in the future,” said Nirwala.
“In-house from us, from our budget (repairing the Customs website). Yes, creativity, our own development. And we also refer to the American website, which uses references from US Customs. So, we adapt it to what applies internationally,” he concluded.
