Wahyu Majiah is not alone.He and 30 colleagues passed through piles of landslide material, wood, and combed the river from Linge Village to reach Isaq Village, Linge District, so they could penetrate the capital of Central Aceh, Takengon.The Isaq route to Takengon was still normal at that time.
If the normal route is by car, Linge Village to Isaq Residence only takes around 50 minutes or from Linge Village directly to Takengon around 1.5 hours.
“From Linge Village we walked along cliffs, mountains and rivers that had landslides so we could get to Isaq in 3 days. From Isaq we continued to Takengon by car,” said Wahyu Majiah alias Ayu in Banda Aceh, Thursday (5/12).
Ayu said that she and 30 people came to the Linge area initially to take part in the Linge Festival.They arrived in the area on Monday (24/11) in rainy conditions.

There are no signs yet of a major disaster in the area.Ayu and her colleagues were looking for an internet signal on Tuesday (25/11) on one of the access bridges to Linge Village.After that, they returned to the rest area.
They then received news that landslides and floods had hit the area on Wednesday (26/11).Then the next day, Thursday (27/11), they intended to search for telecommunications networks while assessing the situation.However, they were shocked because the bridge that provided access to the village was completely broken.
“That Thursday morning we went back to the bridge to see the condition, it turned out the bridge had completely collapsed, the road was blocked by landslides,” he said.
In the evening, residents and their entourages began to be evacuated to SMA 13 Takengon.The place is still considered safe to evacuate.The reason is, landslides and floods have hit Linge Village.
During two days of working at the refugee camp, Ayu and her entourage received news that entering the Isaq area could only be done on foot.Then they dared to walk on Saturday (29/11) morning.
“We started walking on Saturday morning with minimal provisions, some rice was given to us by residents, then we took the standing water and cooked it for eating and drinking,” he said.
During the journey, they saw the destruction of people’s houses and landslides on mountains everywhere.They walked from Linge Village through Owaq Village – Uning Village and ended up in Isaq walking for 3 days.

They were able to penetrate the Isaq area on Monday (1/12) and were immediately evacuated to Takengon by car.Once in Takengon, they finally got a ride on a plane that was delivering aid.
“Two days ago in Takengon we were evacuated by another plane

He said that on his journey he saw the devastated condition of Central Aceh Regency, damaged roads everywhere, houses buried by landslides, and many bridges broken.Not to mention interrupted telecommunications network access and power outages.
Data from the Aceh disaster emergency response post recorded Central Aceh Regency as one of the areas worst hit by floods and landslides.From the latest data on Friday (5/12), 23 people died and 24 were missing as a result of the disaster.
Then 10,153 residents were still displaced in 108 refugee camps.Meanwhile, 81 roads and 58 bridges were damaged.This landslide flood disaster also damaged 2,546 residents’ houses.
