Donald Trump
announced the production of a new type of warship to be named after him, the Trump Class.
Trump on Monday (22/12) said that the 30,000-40,000 ton ship would be built to be “one of the deadliest surface warships” as well as “the largest battleship in US history”.

When asked whether this warship was intended to deter Chinese influence, Trump was reluctant to admit.He only said this ship would be “a deterrent for all parties, not just China.”
Trump Class Specifications
Based on the official Trump Class Ships website, this newest warship will weigh more than 35,000 tons.The ship was designed for unrivaled stability and an enormous payload, far surpassing that of the Arleigh Burke class destroyers.
Trump Class ships will be armed with Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) 12+ missile tubes for rapid global reach.
The ship also has a massive weapons capacity of more than 128 units, including the Tomahawk, SM-6, and the new nuclear-armed SLCM-N.
The Trump Class will use a 32 megajoule (MJ) railgun battery to support long-range surface fire.
Reporting from Golden Fleet, the USS Defiant warship will be part of a new class of large surface combatants with the most destructive firepower of any surface ship ever.
This ship will have the ability to attack enemies with a range 80 times that of the previous class.
This warship will also be the first guided missile warship capable of carrying nuclear and hypersonic missiles.
It is also claimed that the Trump Class ships will utilize advanced combat systems, including large missile vertical launch systems (LMVLS) to provide long-range hypersonic attacks against strategic targets on land that cannot be reached by the current fleet.
According to the US Navy, this warship will be able to operate independently, as part of a Carrier Strike Group, or lead its own group, namely the Surface Action Group, depending on the mission and threat.
“With the ability to provide forward command and control for manned and unmanned platforms, these warships will be a critical component in executing the Naval Warfare Concept,” Golden Fleet said in a statement.
