Visits by Indonesian tourists to
South Korea

(KTO) revealed that in the January-October 2025 period, tourists from Indonesia who traveled to Ginseng Country reached 301 thousand people.

With this figure of 301 thousand tourists, Indonesia is in the eighth position as the largest contributor of foreign tourists in South Korea until October 2025. On average every month, there are 30 thousand people from Indonesia who choose South Korea as their destination.

“There are many factors that influence the increase in the number of Indonesian tourist visits to Korea, both from the KTO campaign in Indonesia and policies from other government institutions that make it easier for Indonesian tourists to travel to Korea this year,” explained Kim Jisun, Friday (19/12).
He said that the increase in the number of Indonesian tourists was due to government policies that made it easier for them to visit South Korea, and was also influenced by the KTO promotional campaign in the country.
This is also supported by the existence of direct flights so that it is easier for tourists to land in Korea, namely T’way Air which offers direct flights from Bali to Cheongju.
Not only that, currently various international airlines are also adding transit routes, as well as the increasing number of international airports in Indonesia.
As an additional factor, the popularity of Korean Waves continues to resonate in Indonesia, followed by many promotions from the Indonesian tourism industry which have made Korea a favorite destination for Indonesians.
