“Today the information is that the Regent of South Aceh is undergoing an examination by our Inspectorate Team,” said Bima after attending a meeting at Commission II of the DPR, Monday (8/12).

According to Bima, the government through this investigation will investigate Mirwan’s departure, starting with who, including the financing.He said that the Inspector General would also examine other South Aceh regional government officials, one of which was the Regional Secretary.
He confirmed that the examination process would not take long, and the results would be known in the next few days.
“Now that’s the case, is it true that the Umrah pilgrimage, with whom, where the funding comes from is important,” said Bima.
“So the inspection will definitely not only be carried out by the Regent of South Aceh, but the apparatus and all those involved in the departure will be inspected. It may take several days, in the next few days,” he added.
Bima said that Mirwan had made a fatal mistake.Apart from being a regional head, Mirwan is also the head of the regional head leadership communication forum (forkopimda) together with the Police Chief and Dandim.

Bima explained that the results of the inspection by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Home Affairs would result in a number of sanctions or warning options.Starting from warnings, temporary dismissal, to permanent dismissal.
He said these provisions had been regulated in Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Dismissals.The decision of the examination will be taken and tried by the Supreme Court (MA).
“Perhaps the inspectorate could even recommend permanent dismissal which would then be submitted to the Supreme Court once that is the door, so let’s wait for the results of the investigation into the Regent of South Aceh,” said Bima.
