Indonesia was runner up at the 2025 SEA Games with 91 gold, 111 silver and 131 bronze.Nine gold came from athletics.Apart from that, there were also five silver and six bronze donations.
Athletics has many events, so there are many potential medals that can be won.In fact, Indonesia still loses the number of gold medals in athletics compared to Thailand (13 gold) and Vietnam (12 gold).

1. Dina Aulia
Sprinting in the women’s 100 meter hurdles, Dina recorded a time of 13.21 seconds.This 22 year old athlete beat her senior, Emilia Nova, who was in second place with a time of 13.27 seconds.
2. Emilia Nova
Losing in the women’s 100 meter hurdles event, Emil proved his ability in the heptathlon or saptathlon event which is a mixture of hurdles, 200 meter dash, 800 meter dash, high jump, long jump, javelin throw and shot put.
Emil won gold by earning 5,497 points while beating Hoang Thanh Giang from Vietnam and Sarah Dequinan from the Philippines.

3. Hendro Yep
Hendro’s name is no longer foreign.This athlete who specializes in speed walking has repeatedly contributed medals to Indonesia.The 2025 SEA Games will be a stage for this 35 year old athlete to show off his skills.
Hendro needed one hour 35 minutes and 25 seconds to win gold in the men’s 20 kilometer race walk.
4. Violine Intan Puspita
If Hendro is king in the men’s 20 kilometer race walk, then Violine is queen in the women’s race.This 25 year old athlete won the duel against Zin May Htet from Myanmar to become the fastest.
Violine was entitled to gold after finishing first with a time of one hour 46 minutes and 52 seconds or no more than one minute ahead of its rival.
5. Abdul Hafiz
Hafiz is the athlete with the furthest record in the javelin throw.His throw made the javelin or spear land at a point of 72.82 meters.Hafiz’s record was 0.83 meters better than another athlete from Indonesia, Silfanus Ndiken, who won silver.

9. Odekta Elvina Naibaho
Indonesia won the men’s and women’s marathon gold medals after Odekta followed Robi and managed to finish first with a time of 2 hours 43 minutes and 13 seconds.
This is Odekta’s third gold in the women’s marathon since the 2021 SEA Games.
Apart from the nine athletes who won gold, there were other athletes who also contributed silver medals, such as Lalu Muhammad Zohri, Wahyudi Putra, and Pandu Sukarya.
Meanwhile, bronze contributors included Rikki Marthin Luther Simbolon, Idan Fauzan Richsan, and the men’s 4×100 meter relay team.
