“Until the third day of handling, Sibolga City cannot be penetrated by land, but it can be penetrated by air for logistics distribution,” said Suharyanto in a press conference, Saturday (29/11).
Suharyanto emphasized that logistics needs in Sibolga City are still not sufficiently met.
However, he ensured that the government would not remain silent, and would gradually continue to send aid there by air.The government will also start shipping logistics by sea starting Sunday (30/11).

“Because the KRI assisted by the Indonesian Navy will arrive in North Sumatra tomorrow,” he said.
Flash floods submerged dozens of districts and cities in three provinces on Sumatra Island, namely North Sumatra, Aceh and West Sumatra in the last few days.
BNPB recorded that the number of deaths in the three provinces reached 303 people as of this afternoon, Saturday (29/11).
In detail, the most deaths came from North Sumatra, namely 166 people.Followed by West Sumatra with 90 people, and Aceh with 47 people who died.
Meanwhile, the number of missing people in North Sumatra is 143 people, Aceh 51 people, and West Sumatra 85 people.
Meanwhile, the landslide that hit Sibolga City, North Sumatra killed 57 people and forced 2,375 residents to flee as of Saturday (29/11).
Sibolga Police Chief AKBP Eddy Inganta revealed that four sub-districts were worst affected by landslides, namely Sibolga City with 4 landslides, causing 4 people to die and 255 residents to flee.
Then, North Sibolga recorded 6 incidents, with 2 deaths and 1,050 residents displaced.Sibolga Sambas had one incident, there were no fatalities, but 210 residents had to evacuate.
Also, South Sibolga was the most affected area with seven incidents, causing 51 deaths and displacing 860 residents.
