Subang
Tidal floods hit settlements on the coast of the Java Sea in Subang, West Java with water levels reaching 60 centimeters, submerging hundreds of residents’ houses.
Apart from occurring in Blanakan District, floods also hit two villages, namely Mayangan Village and Legonwetan Village in Legonkulon District.
Floods also cause roads and public facilities to be submerged, disrupting community activities.
“Today in Mayangan Village and Legonwetan Village, water has entered residential areas from a height of 20 centimeters to 60 centimeters in residential areas,” said BPBD Subang Member Didin Tajudin, Thursday (4/12).
The impact of the flood also caused students to go home from school early because the school was worried that the flood would rise and endanger the students.Meanwhile, affected people could only evacuate their valuables due to the flooding.
Bandung
BPBD Bandung Regency, West Java noted that three sub-districts were flooded due to the overflow of the Citarum River. The water submerged settlements and roads.
Head of the Bandung Regency BPBD, Wahyudin, said residents must use boats for activities.
He said the height of the standing water from the overflowing Citarum River was around 50 cm to 1.5 meters.
“We noted that the areas that are still flooded are in the Districts of Dayeuhkolot, Baleendah and Bojongsoang,” said Wahyudin, quoting
detikcom,
Friday (5/12).
The Dayeuhkolot District area affected includes 9,246 heads of families or around 25,918 people.Next, there are three sub-districts affected by flooding in Baleendah District with a total of 5,579 affected residents or 1,973 families.

Jakarta
In Jakarta, tidal floods occurred in coastal areas.During the tidal flood event on Friday (5/12), DKI BPBD noted that at 18.00 WIB, all tidal inundations had receded.
Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data Center, Mohammad Yohan, said that the tidal flood was caused by the phenomenon of maximum tides of sea water along with the phenomena of the Full Moon and Perigee phases (
Supermoon
).
“What has the potential to increase the maximum height of sea tides is coastal flooding or tidal flooding in the northern coastal area of Jakarta. This causes the Danger/Alert 1 Fish Market Water Gate to rise on Thursday at 07.00 WIB and the occurrence of several inundations in the DKI Jakarta area,” he said.
Poor thing
The floods that hit a number of areas in Malang City, East Java, had serious impacts.90 residents’ houses were submerged, six of which were damaged. There were also five motorbikes that were swept away by the flood currents.
