National Police Chief
) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the National Police is currently deploying around 147,000 joint personnel to secure the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations.
“The National Police is currently deploying approximately 147,000 joint personnel,” said Listyo after visiting the Cathedral Church, Jakarta ahead of mass, Wednesday (24/12).
The National Police Chief said the police also invited the Youth Force Preparedness Command (Kokam) and the Multipurpose Ansor Front (Banser) to maintain church security during the Christmas celebrations.

“And yesterday we also held a roll call together with other colleagues, such as Banser and then we also invited Kokam to join in carrying out security activities, especially in churches that celebrate Christmas Mass,” said Listyo.
Listyo also advised that this Christmas mass be an opportunity to pray for the victims of the Sumatran floods and landslides.
“We pray together for our brothers and sisters in Sumatra and our brothers throughout the country so that everyone is protected from predicted situations that could possibly occur due to predictions,” he said.
Based on the schedule, the first session of Christmas Eve Mass starts at 17.00 WIB, followed by the second session at 20.30 WIB.
Meanwhile, the Christmas Mass on Thursday (25/12) will be held in four sessions.The first session of the Pontifical Mass will be held in the morning at 08.30 WIB.The second session, a special mass for children, is scheduled at 11.00 WIB.
The third session, Mass for the elderly will be held in the afternoon at 16.00 WIB.The final session closed with a public mass at 18.00 WIB.
Activities are carried out in a hybrid manner, taking part in person (offline) or online.
