Rivan Nurmulki performed brilliantly, the Indonesian Men’s National Volleyball Team qualified for the semifinals of the 2025 SEA Games men’s volleyball as Group B winners.
The Indonesian Men’s National Volleyball Team won over the Philippines 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 26-24) in the second match of Group B in the 2025 SEA Games men’s volleyball at the Huamark Indoor Stadium, Selaa (16/12).
This victory made Indonesia finish at the top of Group B with six points from the two matches played.

Boy Arnez and his friends also managed to qualify for the 2025 SEA Games semifinals as Group B winners.
In the first set match against the Philippines, Indonesia was able to lead by two to three points at the start of the game.
Indonesia leads with scores of 5-2, 6-3, 7-4 and 10-5.Then Fahry Septian Putratama and his friends were able to widen their lead to 14-8, 15-10 and 17-13.
Jeff Jiang Jie’s team managed to advance with a lead of 22-17, 23-17, 24-17, until finally winning the first set 25-17.
In the second set, the match was tight, even though Indonesia was able to take the lead from the start of the game.
Rivan Nurmulki and friends managed to lead 4-1, 8-4, 10-8.Then the Philippines was able to cut the gap to 12-13.
The Philippines even equalized the score at 15-15, 16-16 and 17-17.Then the Philippines were also able to equalize again to 22-22, 23-23, 24-24, 25-25.
The match became increasingly tense.However, Indonesia managed to win two points in a row through Boy Arnez’s smash and the placement of the ball released by Rivan Nurmulki.Indonesia won 27-25 in the second game.
In the third game, the Indonesian Men’s National Volleyball Team again managed to take the lead in points with a one point advantage.However, the Philippines was always able to equalize the score at 5-5, 6-6, 7-7.
In fact, the Philippines succeeded in turning their lead to 8-7, 9-7, 10-7.However, Indonesia was able to equalize the score to 11-11.Even though the Philippines were again able to lead 12-11.
Rivan’s ace service which was very hard was accepted by the Filipino players, but came out.So that Indonesia succeeded in turning around to lead 14-13.
Taking advantage of their opponent’s mistakes, Indonesia managed to widen the gap to 19-16.Indonesia was finally able to win the third game with a score of 26-24.Indonesia secured a 3-0 victory over the Philippines.
