Indonesian swimming athlete Jason Donovan Yusuf plans to use the bonus money
SEA Games 2025
to give to his parents, save and invest after successfully presenting two gold medals for Indonesia.
This means that Jason will receive a gold medal bonus from the Indonesian government of IDR 2 billion.
“Of course I will give some of it [the 2025 SEA Games bonus] to my father and mother, I also want to save some of it and invest it,” said Jason, quoted by Antara.

Jason successfully made his debut at the 2025 SEA Games by winning two gold medals, each in the men’s 100 meter and 50 meter backstroke events.
In the men’s 50 meter backstroke final, Jason recorded a time of 25.36 seconds, which was also the best record of his career.
Meanwhile, in the men’s 100 meter backstroke, he finished with the fastest time of 55.08 seconds.
For his success in bringing home the two gold medals, Jason is entitled to receive a bonus of IDR 2 billion from the government.
After the 2025 SEA Games, Jason is now starting to shift his focus to the 2026 Asian Games.
In the midst of his busy preparations and matches, he still takes the time to monitor the competitive map of potential opponents who have the potential to appear in the upcoming Asian Games.
“The thing is, there’s also a lot on YouTube, we can see for ourselves that there’s also a lot of exposure to the performances of people in Asia,” said Jason.
