After becoming champion in the men’s 100 meter backstroke on Wednesday (10/12), Jason won gold again in the men’s 50 meter backstroke on Thursday (11/12).
Jason performed impressively in the final round of the men’s 50 m backstroke.Jason finished as the fastest with a time of 25.36 seconds.Superior to top swimmer from Singapore Zheng Wen Quah and senior Indonesian swimmer I Gede Siman Sudartawa.

The first gold won the day after the opening made Jason confidently swing his arms and legs in the pool.
“I’ve been confident since morning. Because yesterday was pretty good. It gave me a good time. So in the morning I just enjoyed it more and this afternoon I also enjoyed the rest more. So it wasn’t too much

Apart from Jason, Masniari Wolf also contributed gold in the women’s 50 m backstroke.Masniari secured gold for Indonesia with a time of 28.80 seconds, ahead of Saovanne Boonamphai from Thailand and Kayla Noelle Sanchez from the Philippines with the same time of 28.84 seconds.
This is Masniari’s third gold after winning gold in the women’s 50 m backstroke in the two previous editions of the SEA Games.
“I will now try to focus on improving my performance, focus on progress. Try to get the best time and hope to get a medal at the Asian Games,” said Masniari.
