Indonesian men’s singles player Muhammad Zaki Ubaidillah, or better known as Ubed, succeeded in ensuring his progress to the 2025 SEA Games final.
This certainty was achieved after Ubed defeated Malaysia’s representative, Leong Jun Hao, in the semifinal match which took place in Thailand, Saturday (13/12).
Ubed appeared full of determination from the start of the match.He immediately showed aggressive play and pressured his opponent with fast attacks.

As a result, Ubed was able to lead 4-1 at the start of the first game.This advantage continued to increase until the score was 9-5, before finally closing the first game interval with an 11-6 advantage.
After the interval, Ubed increasingly dominated the game.He shot away with a 17-6 lead thanks to his sharp hitting and solid game control.However, the situation changed when Ubed’s game declined and Leong Jun Hao was able to get up to cut the distance to a score of 16-19.
At this crucial moment, Ubed received medical treatment after his eye was injured by a hit from his own racket.
Even though he was stopped, Ubed returned to the field with high focus and managed to finish the first game with a 21-18 win.
Entering the second game, Ubed again controlled the game.He was 11-4 up at the interval and didn’t give Leong a chance to develop the game.
Ubed finally closed the second game with a score of 21-13, while ensuring a ticket to the 2025 SEA Games final.
