Indonesia vs Thailand tied 1-1 in the women’s team badminton final
SEA Games 2025
at Thammasat University Rangsit Campus, Wednesday (10/12).
Indonesia took a 1-0 lead over Thailand in the 2025 SEA Games women’s team final through Putri Kusuma Wardani who beat Pornpawee Chochuwong 8-21, 13-21, 21-16.
Putri appeared impressive in the first game by dominating Pornpawee.After winning 6-1, Putri’s lead lasted until the first game interval with a score of 11-6.

Putri KW’s lead was difficult for Pornpawee to catch after the interval.The score was 16-7, before ending at 21-18 for the first game.
In the second game Pornpawee got up.Meanwhile Putri made a number of mistakes.Pornpawee took the second game with a 21-13 lead.
Putri tried to get up in the third game.But Pornpawee was ahead 11-7 at the interval.Putri put continuous pressure on Pornpawee after the interval.As a result, Putri cut the distance to 13-14.
It was Pornpawee’s turn to make a lot of mistakes at the end of the third game, especially a return that went out of bounds.Putri finally won 21-16 while giving Indonesia a 1-0 lead over Thailand.
In the second match, Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum had to give up from the pair Benyapa Aimsaard/Supissara Paewsampran.
Rachel/Febi were initially 4-7 behind Aimsaard/Paewsampran.Even so, Rachel/Febi were still able to provide resistance to the host representatives.
Rachel/Febi then equalized the score at 18-18.However, two consecutive mistakes from Rachel/Febi gave Thailand doubles game point.Thailand led 21-18 in the first game.
Appearing in front of the home fans didn’t make Rachel/Febi lose courage.Having been behind 4-6, Indonesia equalized the score at 8-8.
In the second game interval, Rachel’s lucky point put Indonesia ahead 11-8.Rachel/Febi’s lead endured and it was difficult for Aimsaard/Paewsampran to catch up.Rachel/Febi took the second game with a 21-11 lead.The match returned to the rubber game.
Indonesia trailed 0-4 at the start of the third game.Thailand, who looked exhausted, was back ahead 11-8 in the third game.
Rachel/Febi made a number of mistakes after the favorable interval for Aimsaard/Paewsampran.Thailand leads 17-13.
Slowly but surely, Rachel/Febi turned to lead 18-17.Fierce duels occurred at critical points.Thailand finally won in the second match after Aimsaard/Paewsampran won 21-18 in the third game.
