Search efforts for three buried residents

, Bandung Regency, continues to be carried out by the Joint SAR Team, Saturday (6/12).
Since 07.30 WIB, the team again combed the affected area with a focus on one search sector which was divided into two work points.The three victims who are still being searched for are named Citra, Arjuna and Aisyah.
“Based on information from village officials and visual mapping using a thermal UAV drone, the search area was mapped into two worksites: the first location was to find Citra and Aisyah, while the search for Arjuna was focused on the second worksite,” said Head of the Bandung SAR Office, Ade Dian Permana, when contacted

The landslide occurred on Friday (5/12) at around 17.20 WIB after heavy rain poured down the area.Moving earth material filled plantations and a number of residents’ houses, causing three people to be buried and declared missing.
In this search effort, Basarnas Bandung deployed a rescue team and a security post team to the location after coordinating with the Bandung Regency BPBD.
Until this news was published, the search process was still ongoing and the Joint SAR Team continued to try to maximize operations even though they were facing quite difficult terrain conditions.
The authorities appealed to people around the location to remain alert for the potential for further landslides amidst the still uncertain weather.The SAR team hopes that the three victims can be found as quickly as possible.

Land shifting from the slopes of Mount Sinapeul with a height of around 80 meters hit residents’ houses.Five heads of families were affected by the incident.
Pameungpeuk Police Chief, AKP Asep Dedi, said that the landslide was triggered by heavy rainfall which flushed the area from noon to evening.
“There has been a shift in land that hit the houses of five families. The landslide came from the slopes of Mount Sinapeul with unstable soil conditions due to heavy rain,” said Asep, in previous news.
