Siroj emphasized that the results of the Kubro Deliberation held at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School must be followed up by all parties in order to maintain the integrity and authority of Jam’iyah Nahdlatul Ulama.
Said made this statement at the Kubro Deliberation entitled Strengthening the Integrity of Jam’iyyah Nahdlatul Ulama, at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School, Kediri, East Java, on Sunday (21/12).This agenda was attended by senior kiai, as well as PWNU and PCNU representatives from all over Indonesia, both offline and online.
According to Said, all decisions made in the Kubro Deliberation at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School were born through a long, open deliberation process and involved broad regional and branch representation.Therefore, the results must be seen as a morally and organizationally binding voice of truth.

“What came out of the gentlemen was all through deliberation. We discussed it for quite a long time, more than two hours, and we believed everything to be

He expressed deep concern over the internal conflict that had emerged within PBNU and had become a widespread public spotlight.
According to him, this condition is ironic considering that NU has always been known as an organization that teaches moderation,
tawassuth, tawazun
, and mediate in various social conflicts.
“It’s ironic and very embarrassing. We, who have been known to be mediators, moderates,
tawassuth, tawazun
“In fact, we are now experiencing conflict within ourselves,” he said.
Said also invited all elements of NU, including administrators, kiai, and mustasyar, to carry out collective reflection and self-introspection.He emphasized that the responsibility to safeguard NU does not only lie on the shoulders of one party, but is a collective obligation.
In his view, blaming each other will actually deepen organizational wounds.Therefore, he encouraged all parties to place the interests of Jam’iyyah above personal and group interests.
Said emphasized that the deliberation forums of NU elders from Ploso, Tebuireng, to Lirboyo must be respected as a noble effort to maintain the dignity and sovereignty of Jam’iyah.He warned that allowing the conflict to drag on would risk opening up space for external intervention against NU.
“Let’s respect this meeting of mustasyar and elders. If we don’t protect the dignity of Ploso, Tebuireng and Lirboyo, who will?”he said.
He emphasized that the solution offered by the Kubro-islah Deliberation with a predetermined deadline or handing over mandates to regions and branches is a legal and constitutional mechanism in the NU tradition.
“If you can agree, thank God. If not, then the conference will be handed over to regional administrators and branch administrators. That has been mutually agreed upon,” he concluded.
The Kubro Deliberation at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School has determined 3 main points.
First
, requests that both parties make an agreement with a deadline of no later than 3 days starting from today, Sunday, December 21 2025 at 12:00 WIB.
Second
If no agreement is found on the islah then both parties hand over the mandate to Mustasyar to form a neutral Congress committee with a maximum deadline of 1 day from the end of the islah.
Third
, if options one and two are not fulfilled then the participants agree to revoke the mandate and propose that the Extraordinary Congress (MLB) be held based on the agreement of the PW/PC present.As for the time, no later than before the first batch of the Indonesian Hajj Group departs.
