Sahroni’s house was one of the targets of looting mobs at the end of last August.Unknown mobs damaged and looted Sahroni’s house, taking items belonging to the NasDem Party General Treasurer.
Sahroni, at the time of the looting incident, was in the house. He hid on the top floor of his house.Sahroni also encountered looters while in the bathroom upstairs.
From the information received, Sahroni will rebuild his house on the same land.
Dozens of builders were deployed to dismantle the house.
Some craftsmen were seen working to collect iron, rake up building debris on the road, and sprinkle water so that not much dust would fly around.
There were three dump trucks seen at that location. The truck was deployed to transport building debris so that it could be disposed of immediately.
Dismantling costs Rp. 250 million
Head of the demolition team Abdullah said the house had been demolished since Monday (10/11).According to him, the cost of demolishing Sahroni’s house cost up to IDR 250 million.
“The estimated dismantling costs are approximately Rp. 250 million. This includes heavy equipment costs, operational costs, workers’ wages, transportation costs and hauling away debris,” said Abdullah.
Abdullah said this figure was obtained from calculating the building area which reached 400 square meters. Then, the costs are also calculated according to the two-week demolition work process.
“Yes, Rp. 250 million for 2 weeks. The building area is around 400 meters, the height is 12 meters, there are 3 floors,” he said.
Furthermore, Abdullah said that the process of demolishing the ahroni house could actually go quickly. However, because the house is located in a densely populated residential area, the demolition process was carried out carefully so as not to damage the neighboring houses.
Abdullah said his team was only tasked with dismantling Sahroni’s house. After the house has been completely dismantled and the rubble removed, work on the house will be continued by the appointed contractor team.
“We were only assigned to dismantle (the house), the construction was carried out by a contractor,” he said.
