Asian currencies vary.The Philippine peso fell 0.12 percent, the Japanese yen rose 0.06 percent, the Singapore dollar plus 0.02 percent, the South Korean won minus 0.19 percent, and the Thai baht rose 0.05 percent.
Meanwhile, the main currencies of developed countries strengthened.The European euro was plus 0.03 percent, the Swiss franc rose 0.01 percent, the Australian dollar rose 0.09 percent, and the Canadian dollar rose 0.01 percent.

Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong said the rupiah strengthened against the US dollar after weaker-than-expected US jobs data.
“However, risk off sentiment will limit strengthening. Investors also tend to wait and see in anticipation of the Bank Indonesia Board of Governors Meeting this afternoon,” he said

He estimates that the rupiah will move in the range of IDR 16,650 – IDR 16,800 per US dollar.
