Asian currencies vary.The Philippine peso fell 0.01 percent, the Singapore dollar plus 0.10 percent, the South Korean won plus 0.35 percent, the Thai baht rose 0.23 percent, and the Japanese yen rose 0.07 percent.
Likewise, the main currencies of developed countries varied.The European euro was plus 0.13 percent, the Swiss franc rose 0.17 percent, the Australian dollar fell 0.05 percent, and the Canadian dollar plus 0.06 percent.
Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong said the rupiah weakened against the US dollar amid ongoing concerns about the prospect of an interest rate cut by Bank Indonesia (BI).
“Weak domestic demand is also reflected in motorbike sales data which grew below estimates,” said Lukman
