The majority of Asian currencies fell.The Philippine peso rose 0.14 percent, the Japanese yen fell 0.27 percent, the Singapore dollar plus 0.05 percent, the South Korean won plus 0.53 percent, and the Thai baht rose 0.09 percent.Meanwhile, the Malaysian ringgit fell 0.22 percent.
Likewise, the main currencies of developed countries weakened.The European euro was minus 0.01 percent, the Swiss franc fell 0.05 percent, the Australian dollar fell 0.29 percent, and the Canadian dollar fell 0.06 percent.
Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong said the rupiah closed stronger against the US dollar due to the inflow of foreign capital amid strong risk-on sentiment.
