He stated that the six affected villages were spread across three sub-districts, namely, Labuan Village, East Moutong Village and West Moutong Village, Moutong District, then Tingulang Village and West Tomini Village, Tomini District, then Palasa Tengah Village, Palasa District, each of which was affected in hamlet 1.

The results of the latest assessment of the incident reported that 116 heads of families (KK) or 379 people were affected by Rob in Labuan Village, while in East Moutong Village one resident’s house was heavily damaged and two houses were slightly damaged.
“No residents died or residents were displaced in Moutong District. Likewise, no public facilities were damaged,” he said.
Then Hamlet 1, Tingkulang Village, 17 families with a total of 59 people were affected by the hydrometeorological disaster, two of whom had to be evacuated to their relatives’ homes.
In Hamlet 1, West Tomini Village, 11 families with a total of 32 people were affected, 25 houses were slightly damaged, then 27 families with a total of 117 people in Hamlet 2 were also affected, two residents’ housing units in Tingkulang Village suffered light damage.
“In Palasa Tengah Village, approximately 40 families with a total of 160 people were victims of the tidal flood, apart from that, public facilities, namely SD Inpres 5 Palasa and Paud Tunas Bangsa 2 Palasa, were also affected,” he said.
He explained that extreme weather can affect sea level rise, which can cause tidal floods.
“Until now, we are still monitoring. We have also appealed to coastal residents to remain alert to this phenomenon. If the tidal inundation gets higher, they should take shelter in a safe place,” said Rivai.
He added that so far there has been no distribution of logistical assistance, because the situation is still safe.
“In November we distributed logistical assistance to residents in the area, with the same incident,” he said.
