SEA Games 2025

Rendy was entitled to win a gold medal after winning the MTB cross country eliminator sport at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Thursday (11/12).
“Very, very, very, very grateful, Alhamdulillah. Definitely happy. But, the target should be downhill because this is the next number and the downhill ones have already won medals, so in this race the maximum will be more enjoyable, but still work hard because in the SEA Games you can’t play around,” said Rendy in a video interview on Instagram.

Rendy hopes that the achievements in Thailand can be good capital to appear at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
“I feel very happy, thank God, very proud. My target is that if the Asian Games has my number, I want to play,” said Rendy.
In the final round Rendy Varera beat Malaysian racer Zulkifli Zulfikri who won silver and Filipino athlete Valderama Mark Louwel.
This gold medal is the second medal presented by Rendy Varera to Indonesia at the 2025 SEA Games. Previously, Rendy contributed a silver medal in the men’s downhill MTB number, Wednesday (10/12).
With the addition of one gold medal from Rendy, Indonesia is temporarily firmly in second place in the 2025 SEA Games medal standings with a score of 6 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze.
