2029 Election

“My emphasis on PPP cadres is to make Muswil throughout Indonesia a success, there should be no conflict. We are prioritizing how PPP is successful in the upcoming 2029 elections,” said Mardiono after opening the South Sulawesi PPP Muswil in Makassar, Monday (22/12).
Mardiono said that the Muswil being held currently was the first Muswil for management whose terms of service had ended in the previous period, especially when he served as acting general chairman (Plt).

“This is the first Muswil for the management whose solemn period has finished. So we are pursuing it so that all PPP management in Indonesia can end and be immediately renewed,” he said.
Through this Muswil, said Mardiono, will be followed by branch deliberations (Muscab) up to elections at the sub-district level.This step aims to form party representation that meets the verification requirements as participants in the 2029 elections.
Apart from strengthening the structure, PPP is also paying great attention to the dynamics of the national electorate, which in the future will be dominated by generation Z and the millennial generation.
“We have to increase PPP cadres and political agents among generation Z and millennials. We will instill this at the sub-district and sub-district levels,” he said.
Mardiono said that the Muswil was targeted to be completed simultaneously in early 2026. However, exceptions were given for areas affected by disasters.
“Except for disaster areas, we are still considering that. But for areas not affected by the disaster, we will complete it according to schedule, namely January 6 2026 or at least the end of January, all Muswil will be completed,” he said.
