Indonesian U-20 National Team
.PSSI has strong reasons for choosing Nova.
Nova has just finished his assignment with the U-17 Indonesian National Team.After successfully presenting Indonesia’s first victory in the U-17 World Cup, Nova was entrusted with new responsibilities as coach of the U-20 Indonesian National Team.
PSSI Technical Director Alexander Zwiers considers Nova to be the right person.Nova really understands young Indonesian players and has a good relationship with the club.

“There are several competencies that are being considered for the U-20 Indonesian National Team. The coaches needed must understand the Indonesian football landscape and Nova really knows the potential of the young generation of players.”
“He has good relationships with the club, with his leadership abilities. I often discuss with him, he is someone who makes a lot of observations, can inspire players and staff to be in the same direction,” said Zwiers.
Apart from that, Zwiers thinks that Nova has big ambitions and always has the motivation to make Indonesia the best.
“He is also ambitious and has the best motivation for Indonesia. The point is he already understands what it means to be a national team coach. Moreover, he is a person with an open mind and is humble.”
“This is a great moment, happy and proud to have Nova in the U-20 National Team to prepare the next generation. Nova is a great person with great leadership to form sustainable local players,” said Zwiers.
Moving up to the U-20 Indonesian National Team, Nova is still given a big target.He is expected to be able to take the Indonesian U-20 National Team to the World Cup.
“Nova has worked well in the World Cup. I am enthusiastic about working with her to move up the U-20 class to qualify for the U-20 Asian Cup as the top eight in Asia,” said Zwiers.
