failed to win a gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games.
Indonesia lost 2-3 to Thailand in the volleyball final.This result meant that the National Volleyball Team’s hopes of a SEA Games gold quattrick did not come true.
“We are evaluating, in the future I will change my coach. Starting this year, I have changed my coach to the SEA Games and I have immediately stopped,” said Imam.

Furthermore, the Indonesian National Volleyball Team will be trained by a figure from Brazil, including to face the 2026 Asian Games.
“In our evaluation, next year we will use a new coach from Brazil, so for the 2026 national team we will use a new coach formula from Brazil,” said Imam.
“Next year we will use a new coach from Brazil. Hopefully he can provide new color and motivation so that our performance will be better at the 2026 Asian Games,” he added.
Jiang Jie is an old figure in the world of Indonesian volleyball.His career as a coach in the national volleyball league has been going on since the first decade of 2000 with the Bandung Art Deco team.
The former Chinese national volleyball team player only returned to Indonesia in the early 2020s when he was attracted to LavAni.
Jiang Jie even later won the trust of being the coach of the Indonesian Men’s National Volleyball Team in various events, including the SEA Games.
In 2021 and 2023, Jiang Jie successfully led Rivan Nurmulki and his friends to become champions.Jiang Jie’s two successes continued the positive achievements of the Indonesian National Volleyball Team at the 2019 SEA Games when they were still managed by Li Qiujiang.
