Compared to these three countries, Indonesia is superior in the PowerIndex score. This score is taken based on more than 60 factors with categories ranging from the quantity of military units, financial conditions, to logistical capabilities and geography.
The perfect PowerIndex score is 0.0000.
Indonesia has a PowerIndex score of 0.2557, which indicates that its military strength is quite significant. While Germany has a score of 0.2601, Israel has a score of 0.2661, and Iran has a score of 0.3058.
Indonesia’s military strength ranking is supported by the very large number of Indonesian military personnel.Based on GFP data, Indonesia has around 1,050,000 military personnel.
Of this number, as many as 400,000 are active personnel.Around 400,000 others are reserve personnel and around 250,000 have paramilitary status.
Indonesia’s position is also supported by the total defense equipment it has, both land, sea and air.It is estimated that there are around 459 Indonesian aircraft.Indonesia also has more than 20 thousand armored vehicles and a total of 331 ships.
When compared with Germany, the number of German military personnel is only around 215,600.A total of 181,600 are active personnel and 34,000 are reserve personnel.
For air vehicles, Germany is superior to Indonesia with 584 units.German armored vehicles are also much more numerous, namely more than 83 thousand.Even so, Germany is outnumbered in marine defense equipment, namely only having 61 marine vehicle assets.
Israel does too.Its military personnel are far less than Indonesia’s, namely only around 670,000, with 170,000 active personnel and 465,500 reserve personnel. However, Israel is superior in air space, even surpassing Germany with a total of 611 aircraft.
Meanwhile, on land, Israel’s armored vehicles are still below Germany’s, but exceed Indonesia’s by more than 35 thousand. This Zionist country also only has 62 ships.
A number of experts and observers have warned that the GFP methodology only assesses conventional forces, not warfighting capabilities. This is because the GFP does not include nuclear weapons or other special strategic forces in its assessment.
Therefore, a country with a large size and population like Indonesia can be superior even though the quality of its defense equipment is not as modern as that of large countries.
