This was conveyed by Miftach after the PBNU Rais Aam gathering with the PBNU Syuriah and 36 PWNU which was held at the East Java PWNU office, Surabaya, Saturday (29/11).
“To ensure the normal running of the organization, we will hold a plenary meeting or congress immediately. Yes, immediately,” said Miftach.

Miftach said that his party had also socialized the results of the Syariah meeting’s decision regarding Gus Yahya’s removal to 36 PWNUs throughout Indonesia.And everyone has accepted that.
“A total of 36 PWNU who attended well understood the background to the decision of the PBNU Syurihay daily meeting and provided full support to Rais Aam to follow up on the decision,” said Miftach.
During the meeting, Miftach also said that as of November 26 2025 at 00.45 WIB, Yahya Cholil Staquf would no longer have the status of general chairman of PBNU.
“So [yahya] has no right to use attributes and does not have authority as general chairman of PBNU. And since then the leadership of the Nahdlatul Ulama management has been completely in the hands of Rais Aam,” he said.
He said the background and basis for consideration of Gus Yahya’s removal were as stated in the minutes of the PBNU Syuriyah daily meeting on November 20 2025.
“It is truly in accordance with the actual facts and conditions and there is no motive or background other than what is stated in the minutes of the meeting,” he said.
