Rais Aam Nahdlatul General Manager (
PBNU
) KH Miftachul Akhyar formed a fact-finding team to investigate a number of issues amidst the polemic over the removal of General Chairman Yahya Cholil Staquf.
Miftach said this after the PBNU Rais Aam meeting with the PBNU Syuriah and 36 PWNU which was held at the East Java PWNU office, Surabaya, Saturday (29/11).
Miftach stated that his party was paying special attention, especially after observing the dynamics in society, including various information and opinions in mainstream media and social media.

“Furthermore, to obtain the validity of this various information, we will assign a fact-finding team to carry out a complete and in-depth investigation into various information that is developing in society,” said Miftach.
He revealed that the fact-finding team would be led by two Deputy Rais Aam PBNU, namely KH Anwar Iskandar and KH Afifuddin Muhajir.

“PBNU Deputy Rais Aam KH Anwar Iskandar and KH Afifuddin Muhajir will be the directors of the fact-finding team,” he said.
Apart from that, Rais Aam also froze the Digdaya PBNU data and service digitization system to ensure that the fact-finding team could carry out its duties well.
“So specifically, we order the implementation of the BPNU-level correspondence power to be suspended until the investigation process is completed, while implementing the PWNU and PCNU-level correspondence powers can continue to run as it should,” he said.
Rais Aam again reminded all NU members about the values of Khittah Nahdlatul Ulama.
“All parties must prioritize common interests, maintain noble morals, and uphold honesty in thinking, behaving and acting,” he said.
As an internal step, Rais Aam also invited all NU congregations to increase their prayers.
“Let us pray to Allah SWT to give us the best and most beneficial solution for Jam’iyah Nahdlatul Ulama,” he emphasized.
