regarding his invitation to the pro-Zionist Israeli academic, Peter Berkowitz, at the NU National Leadership Academy (AKN NU).
Nuh said Gus Yahya admitted his careless and careless attitude.He also views this attitude as part of the NU tradition which prioritizes morals, tabayun and wise problem solving.
“Rais Aam and Deputy Rais Aam also expressed their magnanimity by apologizing for the sloppy and careless apology of the General Chair of PBNU for inviting Peter Berkowitz to the NU National Leadership Academy (AKN NU) activities. The spirit that was built was togetherness and maintaining the integrity of the organization,” said Nuh, quoting his statement, Thursday (25/12).

Nuh said this after the Syuriyah Consultation forum with Mustasyar which was held by PBNU at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School, Thursday (25/12) today.
Gus Yahya’s attitude in inviting Berkowitz was one of the reasons for the request for Gus Yahya’s dismissal as chairman some time ago.
This was stated in the minutes of the PBNU Syuriyah Daily Meeting which was signed by Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Akhyar.
In the minutes of the document, one of the requests for Gus Yahya’s dismissal was due to the polemic of Peter Berkowitz’s arrival as a speaker at the AKN NU in Jakarta, Friday, August 15 2025.

Later, the committee will discuss the time, place and technical aspects of the conference.
“The time, place and technical implementation of the Congress will be decided jointly by the General Chair and Rais Aam through a committee that will be formed together,” said one of the meeting points.
Moh Nuh also said that PBNU welcomed the results of the consultation forum agreement as part of efforts to maintain organizational order and for the integrity of Jam’iyah.
He said the meeting was solemn and full of wisdom
“There is a mutual understanding to move forward constitutionally,” he said.
