drugs

Kunti Street has long been nicknamed the Drug Village in Surabaya.There were rows of small beds made of wood covered with tarpaulin.It is suspected that this place is often used by people for drug transactions and methamphetamine parties.
Head of the East Java BNNP, Brigadier General Budi Mulyanto, said that initially his party carried out raids in the area.Then, his party carried out urine tests at high schools and middle schools close to the location.

“We are at the same middle school and high school location, close to each other. Our officers carried out activities of approximately 50 students taking samples,” said Budi, when confirmed, Friday (14/11).
Then, said Budi, from the results of the urine check, 15 junior high school students were found to be positive for drugs.He also felt concerned about his team’s findings.
“The 15 people are active users of narcotics, our junior high school students. This is a concern that we must formulate together,” he explained.
Budi said that all parties must sit together to resolve the narcotics problem on Jalan Kunti.This is important to do to eradicate the circulation of illicit goods in the village.
“I said there are several components that we really have to discuss, sitting at the same table, between BNN, police, regional government and even other pentahelix concepts,” he said.
“One, we work on the children first, second, parent participation, then the school environment, then the community environment. We have to work on these four together,” he added.
Budi revealed that one gram of methamphetamine can damage at least six to 10 people.This could be worse if the circulation occurs in densely populated areas.
“If, for example, Jalan Kunti is the distribution center, what we find is approximately 400 grams to 600 grams, meaning the damage is approximately 600 people,” he said.
