The director of this horror film, Ginanti Rona, admitted that Fedi Nuril was deliberately chosen because he had never played a character as dark as Makmur.

Makmur is a father who does not want to remain silent after his only child becomes a victim of violence and bullying.
He tries to seek justice.However, after the right path did not produce results, he began to take a dark and extreme path by coming into contact with supernatural beings.
“The role that we have always known [from Fedi Nuril] is as a romantic, neat man. But this time in this story, what if we saw the dark side of Fedi Nuril,” said Gina when met at the premiere at Epicentrum, South Jakarta on Tuesday (9/12).
“How crazy could he be to play a character who is a father who has lost hope? And for me, Mas Fedi Nuril was very successful in delivering this character,” he continued.
Fedi Nuril said he was trying to understand Makmur’s character, who was full of emotional and spiritual trauma due to the tragedy that happened to his son.He also practiced by switching roles to see each character’s point of view.
“So first I read the scenario and try to understand Pak Makmur, I always break down the character based on three basic needs: physical needs, emotional needs and spiritual needs,” said Fedi.
“Ali and I rehearsed a scene like that, according to our understanding. Once we were finished, our acting coach, Ben, said to try another method [exchanging roles],” he continued.
“And as soon as the scene was finished, I personally felt like I had gotten something that I hadn’t thought of before,” said Fedi Nuril.

Qorin 2 was directed by director Ginanti Rona with Susanti Dewi and Sunil Samtani as producers.The script for this film was written by Lele Laila.
Apart from starring Fedi Nuril, this film also stars Wavi Zihan, Ali Fikry, Muzakki Ramadhan, Gilang Devialdy, Vincentius Jeremiah, Ben Malaihollo, and Quentin Stanislavni.
This film is labeled D17+ or for adult audiences aged 17 years and over.Qorin 2 also has scenes that have the potential to be triggering or make the audience uncomfortable.
Qorin 2 opens December 11 in cinemas.
