The Indonesian women’s team team has qualified for the semifinals of badminton
SEA Games 2025
after defeating Myanmar 3-0, Sunday (7/12).

“Today I felt a little pressure. The opponent played well in the first game and continued in the second game,” said Putri KW in a PBSI press release, Sunday (7/12).

“I was quite far behind in the second game, but thanks to the support from my friends behind me and Mas Imam (Tohari) as coach, I kept trying not to lose.”
Just like Putri KW, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung is grateful that Indonesia has qualified for the semifinals.However, the result of the match against Myanmar is nothing, because a tough opponent awaits in the semifinals.
“Earlier I felt that I was playing comfortably and hopefully the motivation to continue contributing points for Indonesia can continue in the next matches,” he said.
“Because this is the first match, of course I think there are still a lot of adjustments on the field. I don’t want to be easily satisfied because the opponent’s level will increase,” said Gregoria.
Competing at Thammasat University Rangsit Campus, Pathum Thani, Putri KW, who appeared in the opening match, was overwhelmed against Myanmar’s women’s singles, Thet Htar Thuzar.
Htar Thuzar won the first game 21-17.Putri also fell behind at the start of the second game, but was able to come back ahead 22-20.In the third, the Women’s team secured a 21-13 victory.
In the second match, women’s singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung without difficulty beat Eaint Chit Phoo in two straight games.Gregoria won easily 21-9 21-7 in 19 minutes.
The Indonesian women’s team’s winning trend continued in the third match.Women’s doubles Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum successfully beat Su Latt/Khaing Thin Zar, score 21-10 21-6.
